Nick started The Lokal Tourist after years of renting short-term rentals and realizing there was no central place to find local recommendations or promotions. Planning each trip took hours, and he knew there had to be an easier way. Additionally, as a short-term rental host, he was always searching for small, locally supportive gifts for his renters.

These gaps in connecting tourists with community gems, along with a simple solution for rental hosts to offer their guests, led to the creation of The Lokal Tourist.
